NIKON Z5II – C x KEVIN KELLER
Nikon tapped Kevin Keller to be the face of the launch of the Z5II-C and tell the story through his lens, documenting everything while our media team caught all the moments around him.
When Kevin walked us through the deliverables, we wanted to build it around someone who does more than one thing. Someone with a story you can actually see, with some action and real, tangible stuff to bring it to life. That was Heath Pinter.
Heath came up as a BMX dirt jumper. Over the last 10 years, he’s turned that into building custom V-twin Harleys from the ground up. We’ve known Heath a long time and know how he operates, so when Heath and Nikon greenlit the idea, we were stoked. That’s what got us excited about this one: a guy who came out of BMX and now uses his hands to design and build all kinds of Harleys. Getting to show a little of that process was pretty rad.
We started over coffee in Long Beach, where Heath walked us through some of his designs. From there we headed to the Saddlemen shop to see the bike he was building for the Hot Bike Tour and put in some work on it. In September, he won with that bike. We wrapped the day at Sheep Hills, the old dirt BMX spot in Huntington Beach. The crew clicked all day. Kevin and Heath put the Z5II-C to work across every setting, and the final assets all kicked ass.
